Welcome to Kenora!
Located in beautiful Sunset Country, Kenora sits on the north end of the Lake of the Woods, a massive body of water occuping Ontario, Manitoba and Minnesota. In an area with more lakes than people, Kenora is often used as a launching pad for a myriad of outdoor adventures. With boreal forests, fresh-water lakes and winding rivers in every direction, some of Canada's finest hunting and fishing can be had in Kenora. Lovers of wildlife will enjoy Rushing River Provincial Park, where a variety of flora and fauna can be observed. The Lake of the Woods Museum gives patrons a glimpse into Kenora's fur trading past and its importance to the establishment of the area. During the winter months Kenora becomes a winter wonderland for any outdoorsman, with ice fishing and snowmobiling being two of the biggest attractions.
